Are you passionate about entrepreneurship and do you have a hands-on mentality? We might have the right internship for you! As Intern Entrepreneurial Learning, you will be able to develop your project coordination skills in an environment that is dedicated to empowering all to be entrepreneurial through building the right skills. To this end, we run entrepreneurship training programmes for students, entrepreneurs, teachers, and policymakers both in the Netherlands as well as abroad. As part of the education team, you support the smooth implementation of these programmes, working together with experienced trainers and project managers. In addition to the possibility to learn more about entrepreneurship and startups, we offer you the chance to get to know the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Rotterdam better, to build a network for your entrepreneurial career!

What you will work on:

  • Contribute to the coordination of our entrepreneurial learning programmes for students, entrepreneurs, teachers and/or policymakers;
  • Reach out and maintain contact with programme partners and participants for the Startup Visa Facilitator programme;
  • Collaborate with team members to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of our programmes, and identify areas for improvement to maximise the positive societal impact;
  • Occasional support with research and facility coordination tasks.

  • Regular internship per September: available for 4-6 months, at least 4 days a week;
  • Is ambitious, entrepreneurial and can work independently;
  • Is social and has a positive mindset and attitude (looking at challenges as opportunities instead of problems!);
  • Has a hands-on mentality and likes to get things done;
  • Required: proficient (speaking and writing) in English (speaking Dutch is a pre);
  • An advantage: has an affinity for entrepreneurship and innovation or has worked at
    an incubator, startup community, or startup facilitator.

Are you ready to organize the annual event for the Top 250 fastest growing companies in the Netherlands?

Please note: Due to a shortage of student housing and to align with student visa requirements (if applicable), we require for your application to be considered that you are enrolled with a Dutch university (of applied sciences) or college, your internship is a required part of your study programme, and you should already be located in the Netherlands.

As an event management intern, you will support the organisation of the largest scaleup event this fall. You will be involved in all facets of event management; from practical matters such as technology to decoration and catering, to marketing and communication to invited participants and overseeing the execution of the event on the day itself.

In addition to organizing the Top 250 event, there will also be room to be involved in other events, projects and activities. This will give you the opportunity to learn more about entrepreneurship, innovation and startups, we offer you the chance to get to know the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Rotterdam better and to build a network for your entrepreneurial career!

What you will work on:

  • The organization of the Top 250 event for the fastest growing companies in the
    Netherlands (and possibly other events);
    – Establishing and maintaining contacts with partners and suppliers;
    – Optimize the participant experience from start to finish incl. marketing and communication;
  • Occasionally support the coordination of our entrepreneurial training programs and (Top 250) research.

Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship (ECE) is seeking a creative and self-driven Social Media Marketing Intern to elevate our online presence. This role offers a unique opportunity to craft compelling content that showcases innovation, entrepreneurship and high-growth ventures across the globe.

The role

As our social media marketing intern, you’ll work (independently) to develop and execute social media strategies that amplify ECE’s impact. You’ll transform research insights, start and scaleup stories and ecosystem developments into engaging content that resonates with our diverse audience.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Content creation: develop original, high-quality content for LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
  • Strategic planning in collaboration with the team: analyse social media metrics and propose data-driven strategies to increase engagement and reach
  • Visual storytelling: create compellling narratives around entrepreneurship, innovation and research findings
  • Brand voice: maintain and evolve ECE’s digital identity
  • Independent project management: take ownership of campaigns from conception to execution
  • Trend analysis: identify and adapt relevant social media trends to enhance our digital strategy
  • Cross-team collaboration: engage and interface with team members to source content

For your application to be considered: you must be enrolled in a Dutch educational institution (University or University of Applied Science) pursuing a degree in Communications, Design, Marketing or related fields, with a mandatory internship in your curriculum. Additionally, you must be residing in The Netherlands and be fluent in English (written and spoken).

While not required, we particularly value candidates who bring previous experience working with start- and scaleup innovation ecosystems, as this provides valuable context for our work. Knowledge of current marketing trends and experience with content management systems will help you hit the ground running. Multilingual capabilities are highly appreciated, with Dutch language skills being especially beneficial for engaging with our local ecosystem, though proficiency in any additional languages enhances our international reach.

Als stagiair(e) werk je o.a. aan ons onderzoek naar de snelst groeiende en meeste innovatieve bedrijven in Nederland. Je kan denken aan bedrijven als Picnic, Justeat Takeaway, media.monks, Valcon SEE en Mews: onze Golden Scalers van de Top 250 Groeibedrijven. Je krijgt de kans om te leren van succesvolle ondernemers en onderhoudt contacten met dit netwerk. Je helpt bij de dataverzameling en -analyse en helpt mee om de uitkomsten toepasbaar te maken in nieuwe lessen voor innovatief ondernemerschap. Zo werk je samen met industry experts en bedrijven uit de Top 250 om diepgaande inzichten te verkrijgen.

Daarnaast krijg je ook de kans om je onderzoeksvaardigheden te ontwikkelen door kwalitatief onderzoek te doen voor zowel private als publieke klanten, lokaal en internationaal, om hen te ondersteunen bij het verbeteren en inclusiever maken van hun ondernemerschaps- en innovatie-ecosystemen.

Ben jij iemand die:

  • Vereiste voor je sollicitatie om in aanmerking te komen: je staat ingeschreven bij een Nederlandse universiteit of hogeschool en je stage is een verplicht onderdeel van je studieprogramma. Je bent gevestigd in Nederland;
  • Zomerstage per juni/juli: voor twee à drie maanden minimaal vier dagen per week beschikbaar is;
  • Reguliere stage per september: voor vier tot zes maanden minimaal vier dagen per week beschikbaar is;
  • Ervaring heeft in het werken met grote datasets en analyses minimaal met Microsoft Excel;
  • Geïnteresseerd is in onze vakgebieden (Start-ups, Scaling Up, Inclusief ondernemerschap, Ecosystemen en Ondernemerschapsvaardigheden) en al enige onderzoekservaring heeft (vanuit de studie);
  • Ambitieus en ondernemend is en zelfstandig kan werken;
  • Sociaal is en een positieve mind-set en houding heeft (uitdagingen zien als kansen in plaats van problemen);

Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship (ECE) is een toonaangevend internationaal centrum voor ondernemerschapsonderwijs en -onderzoek.
